HORSE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

All horses must have Coggins papers within 6 month of the sale date and health papers within 30 days of sale date! Any buyer of a bred mare who is uncertain of her being in foal must have her vet checked before leaving the grounds. If she is in foal, the cost of checking is the responsibility of the buyer. If the mare is not in foal, the cost of check-ing is the responsibility of the seller.

 

HAY, BEDDING & FEED

All consigners are responsible for their own feed and hay. The first bedding will be supplied by the sale. More bedding will be available. If you need hay and feed, please contact the committee.

 

REGISTRATIONS

All consignments are required to be registered! All original papers and signed transfers must be in place before the horse goes into the sale ring. Horses will sell in cataloged order. Horses will be transferred to the person indicated on the slip. The cost of transferring to new ownership will be paid by the consigners. Title passes at the fall of the auctioneer’s hammer, at which time all risks and responsibilities for the horse pass to the buyer. All sales are final!

 

TERMS

All consignments must have new halter and lead rope. Otherwise, the sale committee will supply one and charge the seller. No horse will be allowed to leave the grounds without a check-out slip. All horses must be removed from the barns by midnight Saturday night unless arrangements are made.

 

All sellers are responsible for their horses until the time the gavel falls, after which the buyer is fully responsible. The committee reserve the rights to reject any horse for any reason including but not limited to: unsoundess, poor condition, improper documentation of registration or health papers.

 

 

WARRANTIES

Ages, heights, markings and physical conditions are approximated and not guaranteed. It is the buyer’s responsibility to examine the horse before he bids as all sales are final. In case typographical errors or other errors are discovered, the auctioneer will announce them, which will take precedence over the catalog.

 

 

BUYER’S PAYMENT

Buyer shall pay for horses and tack the day of the sale before leaving the grounds. Terms are cash, check, card, US Funds only. Sales tax exemption needs to be signed or PA sales tax of 6% will be charged.

 

Payment with check will need letter of credit from bank. Credit cards will have a 3% buyer’s premium. $50 surcharge will be made to all bad checks.

 

LIABILITY

Everyone on the sale premises is cautioned to exercise reasonable care and attendance at the sale shall be at his or her assumption of risk for damage or injuries to their animal or themselves. The sale committee is not liable or responsible for any injuries or accidents.

 

COMMISSION RATES

Commission on horses shall be 7% and $200 minimum. Tack com-mission 18% - $1,000, 15% - $2,000, 12% - $2,001 and up. There will not be any NO SALES.
